Households have told us that finding the right assistance program, like help with groceries, bills, or rent, is harder than it should be. Even when a program looks like a fit, the details you need can be spread across several pages.
That's why, back in July, we launched Assistance Finder on our website so you could see programs near you. Since then, we've kept adding programs to the list, so there's more to explore.
Now those same programs are in the Enrich app, in a section called Resources, so you can find options that may give your budget a little breathing room.
Easier to Find, Easier to Come Back To
With this launch, finding and keeping track of programs takes less work.
- Start with your ZIP. It's quicker to type than a county name, and we'll suggest the location for you. This works on the Assistance Finder website too.
- Filter by category. Looking for help with something specific, like a water bill or child care? See just those programs.
- See the key details first. Program websites can be hard to navigate. Each program page leads with what you need to decide if it fits: Eligibility criteria, Information to gather, and Where to apply. Rules vary by program, so Eligibility criteria is a good place to start.
- Save programs for later. There's often a lot to figure out before you apply. Now you don't have to sort it all out in one sitting. Star the programs you want to come back to. And if you already have a program, tap "I already have this program" so you only see what's new to you.
The app also remembers your ZIP and the programs you've saved for next time.
Behind the Scenes
We're a small team, and each program takes time to find, summarize, and review. AI helps with that legwork, so more programs reach you sooner. People on our team guide the process and check the work.
Every listing starts from the program's own materials. The details come from the people who run it. Programs show up for your area based on their own rules, and amounts appear as the program states them. Our review also checks that links work and lead to the right place.
Programs can change before we catch up, so it's always worth confirming the details on the program's own site. You'll find a link to it under Where to apply.
